Agility Run-Thrus at Oriole 

SATURDAY AGILITY RUN-THRUS

This is a great opportunity to give your dog some experience in a full ring in a trial-like atmosphere or get more practice on what your team needs. The match will be held in Oriole’s climate controlled facility in a 90′ x 100′ ring on artificial turf.

✦ Coached runs by Terry Herman available!
✦ Full arena will be used
✦ Nested ISC, Excellent, & Novice Courses designed by an AKC Judge
✦ Toys and non-crumbly treats allowed
✦ Crating space available on the dock and blue room
✦ Limit to 2 registrations per handler, lifted after 24 hrs from non-member registration
✦ Run order will be based on height

TWO SESSIONS:
RUN THRU SESSION 1: 10:00am-1:00pm
1 coached run with Terry Herman (7min) & 1 regular run (4min)
10 slots available, $20
***Coached run thru’s are for handling instruction only, not to teach obstacle performance.

RUN THRU SESSION 2: 1:30pm – 4:00pm
2 regular runs (4min each)
12 slots available, $15

Payment is due in full at the time of registration. No refunds after the closing date will be given unless you find a replacement for your slot. A $10 processing fee will be deducted from your refund.

FRIDAY NIGHT RUN-THROUGHS

The Run-throughs are held in Oriole’s climate controlled facility in a 90′ x 50′ ring on artificial turf.   Equipment may vary slightly from week to week but is generally primarily AKC equipment (sometimes contact equipment marked according to international/USDAA contact lengths will be used).

Nested AKC Excellent and Novice courses will be offered.

Schedule:

Walk-Through is 7:00pm and the Run-Through starts immediately thereafter and is expected to finish up at 9:00pm.

Fees:

$15 for Non-Members,
$10 Members, and
$5 for Contributing Members

Cash/Check accepted. If bringing cash, please bring exact change.  Checks should be made payable to Oriole Dog Training Club.

Key facts:

• Oriole Dog Training Club follows Baltimore County School weather closures. If that school system is closed that day, no run-throughs will happen that night.
• Before coming to class, please check this run-through page for any last-minute cancellations. This is the only way for us to communicate with you for last-minute changes.
• When it is your turn to run, you will have 2 minutes in the ring to either run the course or to practice individual skills. You will be timed.
• Please potty your dog on the grass area diagonal from the building.
• There is a $10 cleaning fee for any dog who has an accident in the building.

Additional Important Details:

• Run-throughs are often held on the same night as our Flyball classes. There is loud barking at times. Many dogs benefit from the distraction.
• If your dog needs additional training/socialization in certain trial-specific areas that are not generally seen in class (timer noises, measuring device, table, broad jump, judge in the ring, ring crew, etc.), please let organizer Terry Todesco know ahead of time.
