More Summer Fun with Two Terry Herman Workshops!

CROSSES
with Terry Herman

Wednesday, Aug. 4 • 6:30 pm – 9 pm

How do you do a Front cross? When do you do a Blind cross? Why do a Rear cross instead?

Once the dogs can do the obstacles, handlers have to learn how to direct them around a course as clearly and efficiently as possible. Three of the basic handling maneuvers for doing this are front crosses, blind crosses, and rear crosses. This workshop will deal with: how to do them correctly; when to do them; and where to do them, to give a dog the clearest possible direction. It’s aimed at the Novice handler, or anyone who needs to review the basics of these three handling staples. Dogs need to do all obstacles except weaves. Preference given to students who graduated from the AG2 class since Fall 2020.  

Cost: $25 Members / $35 Non-Members

Limited to 8 dog/handler teams

Auditors $10

Backsides, Threadles, Serps, and 270s
with Terry Herman

Wednesday, Sept. 1 • 6:30 pm – 9 pm

Can you send your dog to the backside of a jump? Can you do a Threadle and not fall behind? What’s the best way to handle a Serpentine or a 270? If you want to do Premier, USDAA Masters, UKI courses, or International competition, you need to know how to train for these challenges. This workshop will break down some of the basics for teaching the dog skills and handler skills necessary to master them, and is aimed primarily at Advanced/Masters handlers.
