The premium for our August AKC Obedience and Rally trials is available on the AKC Obedience Trial page.  Entries are now open.  Judges are Carol Mett and Katheryn Griner.

Keep the Summer Fun Going by Trying New Venues!

Learn more about each of the agility organizations in which Oriole holds trials – NADAC, AKC, CPE and USDAA – and how to prepare for competition at the upcoming trials.   One organization will be discussed per evening workshop.  Each evening will offer an overview including

• basic rules,
• how to register
• classes offered,
• equipment used, and
• how titles are earned.

Following the discussion, a run-thru will be held for Novice/Open handlers and dogs in at least one of the games the organization offers.

Due to popular demand, an additional Tracy Riley Advanced Agility Handling Seminar has been added on August 6th from 3 pm to 5 pm.

Registration is now open for Oriole members and opens on Friday, June 14th at 7am for non-members.

Oriole is pleased to have local trainer and international competitor Tracy Riley presenting 3 workshops for us this summer.

There will be three evening mini seminars (2 hours each) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 PM on consecutive Tuesdays in July and August. 

Agility Skills for Pre-competition Handler Teams (Part 1): This seminar will only use jumps and tunnels to improve handling skills.  No contact equipment or weaves will be used.  8 working slots.

• When – Tuesday, July 30^th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
• Cost – Members:  $60 for a working slot for one seminar.
•             Non-members:   $70 for a working slot for one seminar.

Advanced  Agility Handling Skills: This seminar is for Open/Master Level Teams.  8 working slots.

• When – Tuesday, August 6^th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm
• Cost – Members:  $60 for a working slot for one seminar. 
•        Non-members:   $70 for a working slot for one seminar.

Tricks are a great way to build a relationship and have fun with your dog. Rose Kane will be presenting four separate Tricks workshops this summer.  Each workshop is limited to 7 working slots and will take place in the Agility Ring. Attendance at Orientation on July 1st is required to take any of these workshops.

June 22nd Disc Workshop

On Saturday, come learn to play the UpDog Way! On June 22, Oriole Dog Training Club is thrilled to welcome Laura O’Neill for a full day UpDog Challenge Seminar. Laura will review game rules, strategies, and what you might need to train in preparation for competition, demo each game, and provide an opportunity for each team to play each game twice.

Then on Sunday, Oriole Dog Training Club will be hosting its first UpDog Challenge competition. Come join us for a one-day competition in air conditioning with plenty of indoor crating space!
