Let Terry Herman help you make plans for winter training with her agility evaluation.  The single night class is open to 16 dogs.  As a leading instructor at Oriole many have benefited from Terry’s help over the years.

Entries open on Friday, December 2,  2016 for Oriole’s AKC Agility trial held on January 27, 28 & 29, 2017 at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD.  This is our annual trial in conjunction with the Pet Expo;  don’t just for the agility – come for the shopping too!

Trial services are provided by Clantyre Show Secretary Services. The entry method is First Received.

Kirsti Eisenberg, the registrar for this workshop, was in an auto accident on Thanksgiving Day and as of this writing is stable but is still in Shock Trauma in Baltimore.  She is unable to communicate and at this point we not have a complete list of registered attendees.  If you have registered, please contact joycelilly@hotmail.com so that you can receive further instructions on the workshop.

INTRODUCTION TO DOG TRACKING
A Hands-On Workshop

Learn the fundamentals of dog tracking: understanding scent, how dogs use their natural abilities to follow human-laid tracks, and how to teach your dog to follow a designated human track. Learn ways to incorporate tracking games into play at home and on walks in the park. In tracking, the dog gets to be the leader, which builds communication, appreciation and partnership.

This is a one-day introductory workshop held outdoors in Elkton, MD.  It is limited to 10 dog-handler teams.

Pre-registration is now open for Oriole’s Obedience run-through to be held on Sunday, October 16 at the Oriole Dog Training Club. For your convenience there is a handy online entry form on the Run-through Information page.

Judges are David Hirsch, Tim Pinneri, and Scott Stock.  Entries open on October 5 and the method of entry is First Received.

Discounts are available for each dog entered in 12 or more runs.  And don’t miss the info on the special “Triple Quad” award to be won by the dog with the most Q’s  earned at this trial!

Premium

Entries are now open  for Oriole/Artful Dodger’s NADAC Agility trial on November 5-6, 2016 held at the Oriole Dog Training Club training facility. This trial is limited to 450 runs (350 jumping runs) per day.  The particulars for this trial, along with a link to the premium list, can be found on the Oriole NADAC Agility Trial Information page.

Entries are now open for Oriole’s November 26, 2016  AKC Tracking Dog Urban Test and will remain open until Thursday, November 17. The particulars for this test, along with a link to the premium list, can be found on the Oriole AKC Tracking Test Information page.

Do you want to develop a better team, improving their motivations and your handling? Britney Imhof will be presenting two one-day seminars. On Saturday the focus will be on helping the newer teams (Novice & Open dogs) develop a stronger working team and increase dog motivation. On Sunday she will work with the experienced teams (Excellent/Master dogs) to enhance performance by strengthening the team bond, communication and motivation.

Britney was a member of the AKC European Open Team traveling to France and a World Agility Open gold medalist. She has been a finalist in a number of AKC and USDAA championships and was in the Top 10 USDAA Dogs in 2015. She currently runs a Brittany – Pan and a Papillion – Bilbo
