December 11-13 K9 Nose Work® Trial Premium is Available

The premium is available now for Oriole’s December 11 – 13, 2015, NW2 and NW3 trials in Worton, Maryland.  Entries open at 12 noon on Friday, October 2.  Random draw of entries received will occur on October 4 with final closing on November 20.

Registration for Fall 2015 classes is now open to all levels:  Non-Members, Members and Contributing Members.

Reminders:
  1. Registration opens at 6:00 AM EST.  (if you register before this time it will be rejected.)
  2. Please be very careful to select the correct member level when registering! We will be checking them and selection of the in correct level will create additional delays and processing difficulties.
  3. If you wish to register for a class that is full, please contact the Registrar, Lorinda McKisson (lmckisson@gmail.com) to get on the wait list for the class.

Registration instructions are also available for introductory and advanced classes if you have questions or need a refresher on the registration steps.

September 13 Seminar: Tracking for Beginners

GloveFoundHave you wanted to try tracking but didn’t know how to start? Or have you tried tracking before and want to get started again with a new dog? This is a one-day seminar just for you !

Join AKC Tracking Judge Diana C. Reich on September 13 for a half day of indoor lecture and a half day of outside field work to get the information that will get you started.

Cost:  $50

September 2 Free Seminar with Dr. Sherman Canapp on Canine Sports-Related Injuries

September 2: Dr. Sherman Canapp will lecture and hold a Q&A session on the topic “Common Sports-Related Injuries in Agility Dogs” from 7pm to 9pm at the Oriole Dog Training Club.   Dr. Canapp is the owner and Chief of Staff of the Veterinary Orthopedic Sports Medicine (VOSM) Group.

VOSM is internationally acclaimed both for its ongoing research and the practice of orthopedic surgery and sports medicine for dogs.  This is a unique opportunity for local dog sports enthusiasts to hear about the latest information on the prevention, recognition and treatment of canine athletic injuries from one of the leading experts in the field.

Cost:  There is no charge for this seminar.  Pre-registration however is required and must be received by Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Mini-Seminars at Oriole !

 

Aug 12 and 19: Join NADAC judge Jean Wilkins on Wednesday August 12th & 19th from 6:30pm -8:30pm at the Oriole Dog Training Club and try Barrelers and X Hoopers.  These two mini-seminars are open to dogs of all ages and skill levels providing the dog is able to perform a 15′ tunnel.  Practice and improve the timing of your commands, handling skills, pathwork, and obstacle committment in the NADAC game format of Barrelers and X-Hoopers.

Closing Date Approaching for the August 9th Canine Health Clinic

The Oriole Dog Training Club’s annual Canine Health Clinic is scheduled for August 9th, 2015. We are offering the eye and heart clinics. Unfortunately, we were unable to schedule the blood portion of the clinic this year.

Registration closes in one week (22 Jul).
